Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM CDT
Streams and ponds have an abundance of creatures living just below the surface and around the shoreline. By using dip nets and hand lenses, kids will explore the stream and learn about some of the macro-invertebrates found in the shallow waters of the Big Thompson and Colorado Rivers. Fish biology will be discussed and evidence of larger animals will be searched for as the group moves along the river bank. The role that these different organisms play in the food web will be discussed.
