Kids have a natural curiosity about water and want to examine living things up close. Using a microscope and hand lenses, explore some of the microscopic organisms along the shallow waters of the Sprague Lake shoreline. Bugs, worms, algae and snails are just a few of the things that may be found in the water along with some very small creatures such as amoeba, euglena and paramecium. Discuss the role the different organisms play in the food web.
